Every home we walk through, the hardware is an afterthought. We are here to argue that it shouldn't be.

There is a moment that happens in almost every home we walk through. Someone points at the door handle with a kind of resigned shrug and says, "The builder just put in whatever was standard." And then they move on to show you the kitchen backsplash, which they clearly agonized over.
Here is the thing: that same door handle is touched dozens of times every day. It is the first physical interaction anyone has with your home. And it was chosen because it was the path of least resistance.
We built VK Hardware because we got tired of that story. Because we believe the door handle is as much a design decision as the tile, the millwork, or the lighting fixture. It just rarely gets treated that way.
The house is the canvas. Hardware is the signature.
This is not about spending more money. It is about spending attention. About walking through a house and asking: does this lever handle match the personality of this space? Does this pull feel like it belongs here, or like it was an afterthought in the final week of a two-year build?
We are here to argue that hardware deserves the same consideration as everything else. And to make it easy to get there.
